Volunteer Opportunity: SHP May Community Bed Build

West Madison Sleep In Heavenly Peace Chapter has another opportunity to build more beds for kids in need! With the mission of NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®, Sleep in Heavenly Peace builds beds and delivers them to kids that are currently sleeping on the floor. The beds come complete with a new mattress, pillow and linens. It's estimated that 3% of kids 3-17 are currently without a bed.

We're excited to partner with St. Martin's to build 40 beds. Grab a friend and join us for an upcoming community bed build on Saturday, May 16th. We’ll have two 2-hour sessions (9a-11a and 11a-1p). Sign up for one or both sessions. Lunch will be provided by the Lions Club.

Here are the details of the build:
Date/Time: Saturday, May 16th, 9a-11a shift and Saturday, May 16th, 11a-1p shift
Location: St Martin's Lutheran Church, Church Street, Cross Plains, WI, USA

There will be opportunities to sand, drill, assemble, brand, and dip beds. Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dusty or dirty along with closed toed shoes. If you have a mask, please bring it, as it does get dusty, and we'll have masks, gloves, ear protection and safety glasses available.

Age Requirements: We're looking for volunteers ages 12 and over. Minors must have a responsible adult with them.
